COUNTRY MUSIC STAR Sara Evans will be joining five moms to serve up home-cooking at South Street Seaport today.

WHO: RCA Recording Artist, Sara Evans and five lucky finalists from the Libby’s Table-gating Recipe Contest, will put their cooking skills to the test.
WHEN: Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. E.T.
WHERE: The Get Back to the Table Tent at South Street Seaport Market Square at Fulton and Front Streets
WHAT: In celebration of Get Back to the Table month – a national celebration of the many benefits of family dinnertime, Sara Evans has teamed up with Libby’s Vegetables to help busy families connect offline. Evans will be making a special appearance to meet fans and judge five original dishes prepared by the finalists.
One grand prize winner with the best tasting recipe will receive a family trip to Daytona Beach, Florida. Throughout the day, New Yorkers can visit the Get Back to the Table tent to meet the finalists, sample delicious recipes, score coupons and hear new music from Sara Evans. Also, fans of the country music artist will get an autographed photo of Sara!
If you do not live in NYC and/or can’t make it to South Street Seaport, I’ve got a surprise for one of my readers.
Libby’s was kind enough to give one of my readers an opportunity to win a very cute picnic basket that you see below, 10 cans of Libby’s products and even a signed autograph of Sara Evans!!!

I love Libby’s products, when my kids were toddlers they loved one of their first foods: Libby’s Vienna sausage. My DH loves Libby’s Corn Beef Hash, my girls love Libby’s Sweet Creamed corn (I use it exclusively for my corn chowder recipe). But my seasonal fave is LIBBY’S canned Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix. I love it because it has the prefect blend of ingredients and its helps in making the easiest, creamiest pumpkin pie.

Libby’s brings back memories! My mom would always buy the Fruit Cocktail – what a treat for us! And a pumpkin pie made from Libby’s Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix is a Thanksgiving tradition in our family!

Libby’s canned pumpkin! Every Thanksgiving my mom would make pumpkin pies. I was the ‘can opener’ for her and it was always Libby’s canned pumpkin. Great memories & great tradition which I now do for my children. I use an electric can opener to open the cans now, but my children help & I hope their memories of Thanksgiving cooking & baking will be as happy as mine were.

Having cared for more than one hundred children in my daycare home in the past twenty + years, I have relied on Libby’s canned vegetables and fruits to help provide the children with the nutrition they need to help them grow. Some favorites included carrots, green beans and corn…..but by featuring new vegetables on a regular basis enabled the kids to try a variety!
